A Family Affair - Caffetini Ultimo

Tempe Falkiner

Tuesday, 09th November

Run by Con Trohalis and his two sisters, Caffetini fills rumbling tums and a gap in the Ultimo Café scene.

The Food - Caffetini

All the usual favourites are on offer here from the freshly made sandwiches and wraps to the burgers, salads and Caffetini big breakfast. Con’s mother Penlope lends a hand with homemade delights including the scrumptious spanakopita, delectable Greek shortbread and her sell-out pastas. Caffetini also specializes in catering for boardrooms and office functions with an appetizing array of hot and cold platters delivered to surrounding suburbs.

The Look - Caffetini

Light, airy and with lots of space to enjoy lunch and the paper without bumping elbows with the person at the next table. The generous interiors showcase a funky feature wall which echoes the motif in their logo, and extend to a sunny alfresco space on the footpath outside.

Must Try - Caffetini

Definitely the homemade bolognaise and ravioli and a classic chicken parmigiana is also perennially popular. Caffetini’s coffee is a smooth 100% Arabica blend from Giancarlo Grinders and while served with complimentary biscotti, many choose to also take a piece of Penelope’s moreish baklava.
