July 30, 2010Mother Africa’s a high energy circus spectacular featuring 40 performers from all over Africa, will be performing in Australia from October to November 2010 - with Australian hotel chain Metro Hotels accommodating the cast.
Metro Hotels COO George Bedwani said the Australian hotel chain offered the cast accommodation at Metro Hotels in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, while they are performing in those States.
“Metro Hotels is keen to support major international acts while in Australia, having recently hosted the Japanese performing troupe Drum Tao in Sydney, and last year hosting performers from the theatrical dance spectacular ‘The Merchants of Bollywood’ for the duration of their shows,” said Mr Bedwani.
Described by critics as ‘enthralling’, ‘a theatrical treasure’, a ‘feel good spectacular par excellence’, ‘solid entertainment’ and ‘fun, fun, fun’, the international smash hit ‘Mother Africa’ has toured for eight years worldwide, and has been enjoyed by over two million people.
A combination of skilful acrobatics, traditional music and dances, and athleticism, the show is performed to lively African and Jamaican rhythms by a talented and energetic cast.
“Australia is a wonderful multicultural country that embraces its diversity and offers insights into other cultures,” Mr Bedwani said. “This show demonstrates the vibrant African culture in a way that is wonderfully joyful and entertaining. Metro Hotels is proud to be accommodating the cast in our hotels and hopes it will attract people from intra-state to visit the city to enjoy the production.”
