New General Manager appointed to Metro Hotel on Canning

Metro Hospitality Group has appointed Adrian Gutteridge to the position of General Manager of the newly refurbished Metro Hotel on Canning in Perth. 

Adrian has 23 years experience in the hospitality industry working in both resorts and city hotels throughout Australia.

In his new role, Adrian is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the property, as well as identifying and capitalising on opportunities to grow the hotel’s leisure and corporate business.

Mr Gutteridge said he was very excited about the opportunity to manage Metro Hotel’s flagship property in Perth.

“Metro Hotel on Canning will shortly complete a substantial renovation and refurbishment in a bid to increase occupancy among the leisure market, particularly over the weekends, as well as building on its burgeoning corporate business,” he said.

“The $6m refurbishment, combined with the hotel’s ideal location just five minutes from Perth and 20 minutes from the airport and Fremantle, and some of the best views across the Swan River, will assist us greatly in driving growth.”

His extensive hospitality management experience includes 11 years with Accor as [position] of [property] in Darwin and [property]on the Sunshine Coast; [position] of Mercure [property] in Perth and [property] in Sydney; and General Manager of Grand Mercure, Busselton WA and Pinnacle Valley in Victoria.
