Metro Hospitality Group has appointed Matthew Graydon to the position of General Manager of Dugong Beach Resort, an exclusive luxury eco-resort in the remote Groote Eylandt Archipelago north of Darwin. The Group assumed management responsibilities for the resort in January 2009.
Mr. Graydon brings with him 20 years of international hotel experience during which time he managed world class luxury hotels on three continents.
In his new role, Mr Graydon is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the property, as well as identifying and capitalising on opportunities to grow the Resort’s leisure and corporate business.
Prior to taking up this position, Mr. Graydon was involved with the Cypress Lakes Group as General Manager for both Cypress Lakes Resort and the Golden Door Health Retreat – Elysia. He has worked with a number of prestigious hotel companies including Canadian Pacific Hotels, Ritz Carlton Millennia Singapore Hotel, Hyatt International Hotels, Crown Casino Hotel, Voyages Hotels and Resorts and Hayman Island Resort.
