Metro Hotels COO George Bedwani said the Australian hotel chain offered the cast accommodation at Metro Hotels in Sydney and Melbourne, while they were performing in Australia.
“When we learnt that ‘The Merchants of Bollywood’ were keen to return to Australia and in need of an accommodation partner, we felt this was a great opportunity to support a major international act while in Australia,” said Mr Bedwani.
The theatrical dance spectacular has performed in Great Britain, France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Switzerland and Italy. The show illustrates the history of the Indian film industry by telling the story of a young girl, her grandfather and their love of dance. The story reveals how the film industry with its dance and song is heart and soul of Indian society.
He said with everything ‘Bollywood’ hot property following the international success of the movie ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, Metro Hotels believes Australian audiences will be captivated by the show.
“Australia is a wonderful multicultural country that embraces its diversity and offers insights into other cultures,” Mr Bedwani said. “This show provides an insight into Indian culture in a way that is wonderfully joyful and entertaining.
