Metro Hotel on Pitt has been named a finalist in the Mid-Range Hotel of the Year category in the prestigious 2016 Tourism Accommodation Australia (TAA) NSW Awards for Excellence.
TAA is the premier accommodation association in NSW representing the interests of hotels, motels and serviced apartments.
The Mid-Range Hotel of the Year category applies to 3 to 4 star accommodation and is judged by an anonymous on-site inspection. The judges assess a wide range of factors, including the level and quality of services provided to guests; the additional benefits provided to guests; the friendliness and efficiency of staff, level of service and anticipation of guest needs; and evidence of environmental sustainable best practice throughout the hotel.
Metro Hotel on Pitt’s Property Manager, Simon Wanstall, said he and his team were thrilled the Hotel has been named a finalist.
“The hotel has performed outstandingly well this past year, despite operating in a very challenging environment. This includes a full-scale demolition of an adjacent building, and a property undergoing restoration across the road,” Simon said.
“We constantly strive to deliver the best possible experience for our guests. To be named a finalist is recognition of our success in demonstrating our commitment to our guests.”
