Metro Aspire Hotel Sydney completes full-scale multi-million dollar refurbishment

January 18, 2017 05:07:17 PM

Metro Aspire Hotel Sydney has completed a full-scale multi-million dollar refurbishment, designed to capitalise on the growing demand for quality accommodation with the opening of ICC Sydney, the new convention, exhibition and entertainment precinct.

All the hotel’s guest rooms, public areas and restaurant have been overhauled and transformed with a new fresh, contemporary design and upgraded to a 4 star standard, to strengthen the property’s position as a quality, affordable hotel alternative in close proximity to ICC Sydney.

The newly renamed hotel (formerly Aspire Hotel Sydney), is in an excellent location; this hotel in Ultimo, Sydney is tucked away in a quiet, tree-lined street a block from the Powerhouse Museum, just outside the Sydney CBD, minutes from Central Station and a short walk to the new ICC in Darling Harbour.

All rooms have new King zip beds, new furniture, flooring and bathrooms, as well as smart TVs, new VoIP digital telephone connections and high speed internet.  The hotel has its own secure underground carpark.

A new dining experience, Gumtree Restaurant & Bar, with capacity for 120 guests is open for breakfast and dinner in 2017.

The revamped conference and event space offers two function areas, one with a capacity for 60 people theatre-style, and the other a meeting room for up to 40 people.

Metro Hospitality Group’s Managing Director, Peter Frawley, said the extensive refurbishment marks an exciting time for the hotel, enabling it to offer for the first time a superior standard of accommodation to both its growing corporate clientele and loyal leisure guests.

“For corporate guests, the hotel’s location within walking distance to the ICC Sydney makes it an ideal choice for business accommodation that is affordable but doesn’t compromise on comfort or modern conveniences,” he said.

Sydney’s Darling Harbour, Powerhouse Museum, the Sydney Aquarium, Wildlife World, the Maritime Museum and Chinatown are all just a short stroll from the hotel.

The hotel is also easily accessible to the rest of the city through a myriad of transport options including light rail, and city buses. Access to the airport, Blue Mountains and other attractions is from nearby Central Station.

Metro Aspire Hotel Sydney, part of the Metro Hospitality Group, is located at 383-389 Bulwara Road, Ultimo, at the north western end of Sydney’s Darling Harbour precinct.  For further information visit www.metrohotels.com.au.
