"Fabulous water views from our very comfortable and well appointed bungalow. EVERY staff member was warm, friendly & welcoming. The food was delicious (breakfast, lunch & dinner). Our tour (organised through the lodge) was a real cultural eye-opener and very informative."

Groote Eylandt Lodge is situated directly on the coast line of Groote Eylandt in the Gulf of Carpentaria on approximately 25 hectares allowing sea views from all over the property

 

Access to Groote Eylandt is by air with direct services from Darwin. The flight time is approximately 90-120 minutes. See www.airnorth.com.au or www.chartair.com.au for more information including timetable and luggage allowances. All- inclusive packages are also available. Please enquire directly with the hotel.

 

Same-day services connect Groote Eylandt via Darwin from all Australian capital cities.

 

Charter and private aircraft are also available and can land at Groote Eylandt Airport.

 

The airport is located in the north of the island near the community of Angurugu, a 20 minutes’ drive from the lodge. Transfers from both terminals are provided on request (charges apply).
