Forecast increase in New Zealanders heading to Queensland for a holiday

While there has been a decline of less than 3% of visitors from New Zealand heading to Queensland in the last year*, the good news is that arrivals to Australia from New Zealand are forecast to increase by an average of 1% each year from 2012 to reach 1,266,000 arrivals in 2017.

As trans-Tasman airfare prices continue to fall, many New Zealanders are taking advantage of excellent value airfares to take a short or extended trip to Queensland to escape the New Zealand Winter.

Synonymous with quality accommodation at an affordable price, Australia’s oldest Australian owned hotel chain, Metro Hotels, is offering New Zealanders even more incentive to cross the Tasman with some excellent value accommodation packages at its properties throughout Queensland – in Brisbane, Gladstone and Ipswich, throughout the Australian Summer.
